Duck Race

The Bridgnorth Duck Race...

has become a beloved tradition in the town and is eagerly anticipated each year by locals and visitors alike. It is a fun and light hearted event that brings the community together and raises money for a good cause.

This annual event involves hundreds of rubber ducks being released into the River Severn and racing downstream towards the finish line.

Participants can purchase a duck for a small fee, with the proceeds going towards to local good causes. The ducks are numbered, and participants are assigned a duck, which they will be rooting for to win the race.

The event draws large crowds, who gather along the banks of the river to watch this unique colourful spectacle.

Community. Service. Bringing passionate, kind-hearted people together to serve local needs: that’s what Lions clubs are doing in more than 200 countries around the world.

Lions see a problem and take action to solve it.

They seek to understand one another and the people they serve. They build relationships that lead to opportunities. In short, when Lions serve, life improves.
